Shaoxing Huangjiu Town is one of the first batch of 37 characteristic towns in Zhejiang Province. With Dongpu, an ancient wine town, and Hutang, an important yellow wine town, as the core, the "one town, two districts" model is adopted to create a four in one pattern of "industry+culture+tourism+community".

The total planned land area of Shaoxing Huangjiu Town (Dongpu District) is about 4.6 square kilometers (including 1 square kilometer of water surface), of which the core protected area of the ancient town is 0.36 square kilometers. The town adheres to the principles of "government guidance, enterprise operation, intensive management, and one-stop service", integrating the charm of Jiangnan water town and the core of yellow wine culture, to create a small and beautiful, unique and strong characteristic town.
